Aurora is proud to present the Limited Edition Mar Ionio pen, fashioned with Italian
history, heritage and nature in mind. The exquisite sunburst color warms your skin,
eliciting feelings of the Italian sea, allowing you to take a vacation without leaving your
chair. Sun is the color of the collection. A color that most of all recalls to mind the typical
warmness of Italian seas.
The most characteristic symbols have been placed on the rings. The cap ring represents
the Temple of Era in Metaponto and a Greek boat that crossed the Ionio sea and the
bottom ring is enhanced with olives and hot pepper with the ancient Greek and Albanese
wording “Mar Ionio”. The fountain pen is a numbered limited edition of only 480 pens
worldwide. The pen is enhanced with an 18kt gold nib, available in M, F, XF, B and
Italic. Piston fill. The collection is held in a silver box with internal black leatherette to
enhance the brightness of the pen.

To date it has been a well kept secret that from 1933 until 1964 Montblanc pens and pencils were produced in Denmark as well as Germany. Little information had been available as to what initiated production in Denmark, the range of models and who made them. This book describes the history of Montblanc in Denmark with focus on fountain pens and pencils produced in Denmark and on the history of the company Alfred th. Oberg, which was behind import, manufacture and marketing in this country. To understand the pen market in Denmark and the position of Montblanc in the hierarchy of pen brands, a short account of the major Danish fountain pen companies and other competitive brands is included. Hard cover with dust jacket, 160 pages, 9 in. x 9 in. Full color photos on virtually every page.
