Etruria is the pen collection that, historically, is most representative of Stipula by evoking the sophisticated decoration embedded in its Tuscan roots and the sweetness of the landscapes of the region known as *Etruria* in ancient times. The signature collection Etruria is now totally renewed with Etruria Magnifica, offered in two versions: a limited and a non-limited edition. The limited edition features an oversized Etruria body, hand turned in two different celluloid tones: one is the classical mottled orange Alter Ego, and the other one is a charming mottled green-black celluloid, called Gransasso. This collection is limited to 351 pieces for this piston fill fountain pen (351 being the length of the facade of Palazzo Pitti, measured in *Florentine arms*, an ancient unit of measurement used during the Renaissance corresponding to 0.586 meters) and to 193 pieces for the twist ballpoint version. The Stipula *Gladiator* range is now enhanced by a new work inspired by the great history of the combat arts in ancient Rome. Gladiatorial arts were for many centuries the celebration of strength and courage and had their most typical expression in the fights held in public arenas. The Gladiator � a true idol of the crowds � was formed as a real athlete and prepared for extreme and deadly confrontation with the adversary. The limited edition Gladiator transports us into the arena at that moment full of adrenaline when one disputes the final *game*. Are we not every day called upon in our own *arena* to prove our worth and capabilities in a no holds barred challenge? How many times will your pen will be with you, a faithful companion in the hardest fights? A sculpture artwork handmade in Florence is the essence of the Gladiator limited edition. On the cap side, the Manica armour protecting the arm - stands out in all its power. And at the center of the body the belt which protected the waist of the combatant with the roaring lion head at the center of it. At the center of the cap a Gladius - the short sword of Romans � works as a clip for the pen. The pen body is carved in a deep translucent bloody red and features matte gold (Etruscan style) trims, and in the fountain pen, some original Roman arena sand is visible through the blind cap at the bottom end of the barrel. Stipula salutes the genius of Leonardo da Vinci with a beautiful, capless retractable fountain pen entirely crafted in natural olive wood. The pen is accented in bronze with a 14Kt gold nib. A self-portrait of the artist is found on the pen end and the clip is cast with faces from Leonardo*s studies of man. STIPULA Sacra Sindone � Holy Shroud
On the occasion of the Holy Shroud exposition in Turin Italy, in the spring 2010, the Stipula Academia line was enriched with an exceptional and evocative fountain pen, and more recently, a limited edition ball pen. This project came to life to exalt a symbol of Christianity, the Holy Shroud, with its evocative spirit which is still wrapped with mystery.
The pens, produced in massive sterling silver, are totally hand-made, on its entire surface, the typical structure of the sepulchral walls, used in ancient graves. The analysis of impressions on the ocular areas refer to forms that can be usually found on the sides of roman coins, called *dilepton lituus*, which date back to the Tiberius times. The two faces of the coin are manufactured in bronze on the two sides of the cap.
Moreover, the fountain pen is enhanced with a white 18kt gold nib. Filling is available via cartridge, converter or eyedropper. Each pen is a limited edition of only 99 pieces worldwide. The fountain pen is presented in a unique transparent packaging, where the pen is wrapped with a linen sheet.
