Heritage Rouge et Noir Collection
On the occasion of its 110th anniversary, Montblanc celebrates its pioneering spirit since 1906 and pays tribute to its heritage with the related theme Rouge et Noir. The collection is inspired by the first fountain pens of Montblanc*s history, and comes with a new, unique size which is slimmer and longer than the current shapes. The snake clip and two green gemstones set as eyes of the snake (in the Coral version) and red gemstones in the Tropic Brown version, which were already very popular in the 1920s, now appeals with its vintage appearance and matching fittings. The cap is refined with the traditional off-white snowcap, embedded in coral red precious resin that refers to the former Rouge et Noir collection. The collection is available in Black and Coral resin as well as the new Tropic Brown. The fountain pen is available with a 14kt gold nib with a rhodium-coated snake design, and available in medium and fine widths. Piston fill. The collection is completed with a matching rollerball and ball pen. Also available is a Limited Edition version made in ebonite (Hard Rubber), the material used to produce the original Montblanc fountain pens over 100 years ago. In black ebonite only, only 1906 fountain pens(sold out) and 1906 rollerballs are available worldwide. The snake clip is set with rubies for the eyes.
