Heritage Rouge et Noir Serpent Marble Collection
Montblanc paid tribute to its heritage with the related theme of *Rouge et Noir* in 2016. This new series is inspired by one of the first fountain pens of Montblanc, and the Monblanc oversized Coral Marble no. 12 fountain pen manufactured from 1924 to 1929. Between 1920-1930s, Montblanc created writing instruments in Ebonite/Hard Rubber (at that time they were often called *Red Ripple*) in unique patterns which differed from pen to pen. Today*s Montblanc pens are lacquered over metal in a coral optic reminiscent of their hundred year old predecessor. The cap top is refined with the snow cap embedded in coral precious resin, that refers to the former Rouge et Noir collection; and the Serpent clip, very popular, in the 1920s, appeals with its vintage appearance. The fountain pen is enhanced with a 14kt gold nib, available in Medium and Fine widths. Piston fill.
