 Jimi Hendrix Collection
The Montblanc Great Characters Collection pays tribute to Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970) who is remembered as one of the greatest electric guitarists in history. His technical skill was unmatched, and his revolutionary sound changed the music world forever. He made the guitar scream, growl and wail in improvised solos the like of which audiences had never heard before. He was a sensation who hit the stage for an incredibly short four years and left his mark forever.
Made from precious resin, the off-white color of the cap and its engraved pattern is inspired by one of the guitar straps worn by Hendrix, while the black barrel features an elegant pattern resembling a WAH pedal. The platinum-coated clip is angled to resemble the vibrato bar of an electric guitar. The color is inspired by a Fender Stratocaster which Hendrix played on the Monterey Pop Festival. The cap ring is inspired by a Fender guitar cable engraved with the date of the Monterey Pop Festival. The fountain pen is enhanced with a medium or fine 14kt solid gold, rhodium-coated nib, embossed with a portrait of Jimi Hendrix. The fountain pen is piston fill. The collection is completed with a matching Rollerball and Ballpoint Pen
